My sister-in-law finally got back from her two-month vacation in the Philippines. What a relief. Though I enjoyed taking care of Pia with my wife whenever we’re home, it got so that there was little time left for ourselves. Hats off to my wife for bearing up the past two months with nary a complaint and sparkles of happiness in her eyes.

Chub contracted chickenpox last April 20. Kids have it easier than adults. Her case wasn’t bad as mine when I had it at 19. Plus, her younger skin will smoothen out better than mine. Though Chub’s been isolated ever since (i.e. she sleeps in a separate area, avoiding physical contact with any of us because even if we had it already, we might turn out to be carriers and infect Paulo and Pia), we’ve been dreading the prospect that Pia might get infected. She’s a few weeks shy of her 1st birthday, so the doctor said she can’t be vaccinated yet.
